By downloading and using the Sandouq app, you agree to the terms below. If you do not accept these terms, please do not install or use the app.
1. Publisher
The Sandouq app is published by an independent publisher:
- Publisher: Sandouq, an independent publisher based in Morocco
- Country: Morocco
- Location: Casablanca, Morocco — full postal address available on request at [email protected]
- Email: [email protected]
2. Description of the service and important disclaimers
Sandouq is an Android personal finance app that runs entirely on the user's device. It allows you to track transactions, accounts, budgets, and savings goals, as well as calculations related to Zakat, Sadaqah, and the Hijri calendar.
Essential disclaimers:
- Sandouq is NOT a bank nor a regulated financial institution. The publisher holds no license from the AMMC (Moroccan Capital Market Authority), nor from Bank Al-Maghrib, nor from any European or international financial authority.
- Sandouq provides no investment advice, no personalized financial advice, no buy/sell recommendation, and no tax or legal advice.
- Sandouq is not endorsed by any Islamic scholar, madhhab, or religious council. The app has no authority or representation relationship with any Islamic institution, fatwa committee, or jurisprudential school.
- The Zakat, Nisab, Sadaqah, and Hijri calculations are computational aids for educational and informational purposes only. They do not constitute a fatwa. For any binding religious obligation, consult your local scholar or a qualified religious committee within the school of jurisprudence relevant to you.
- The publisher has no relationship, partnership, or affiliation with any Islamic bank, Zakat office, charitable organization, or non-profit.
3. Accuracy of calculations
Calculations of Nisab, Zakat, and conversion between the Gregorian and Hijri calendars are based on public sources (gold/silver spot prices, Umm al-Qura method) and on the configuration choices you make in the app. While we do our best to ensure accuracy, errors or outdated values are possible. The user remains responsible for any final decision.
4. License granted
The publisher grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Sandouq app on Android devices you own or control, strictly for personal and non-commercial purposes. The app is licensed to you, not sold.
5. User responsibilities
You agree to use Sandouq in accordance with applicable law and not to:
- Attempt to disassemble, decompile, or reverse-engineer the app.
- Circumvent the Premium license verification mechanisms (fraudulently share activation codes, forge Paddle receipts, etc.).
- Resell, redistribute, or commercialize the app or its components.
- Use the app for fraudulent, illegal, or public-policy-violating purposes.
Backing up your data is your sole responsibility. The app offers a manual export (CSV / JSON) from Settings → Backup. The publisher cannot be held liable for data loss caused by: uninstalling the app, factory-resetting the device, hardware failure, loss or theft of the device, or any other event affecting local storage.
6. "Sandouq Premium" purchase and refunds
An optional one-time purchase called "Sandouq Premium" ($7.99 USD, adjusted to your region: about 79 MAD, 24 TND, 29.99 SAR-AED, €7.99) is offered via Paddle, our payment partner acting as Merchant of Record (MoR). This purchase:

The name "Sandouq", the logo, the visual identity, the source code, and the editorial content are the property of the publisher of Sandouq. The app is licensed to you, not sold.
8. Account and data
Sandouq requires no user account. All your data remains on your device. See the Privacy Policy for full details on data processing.
9. Limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is", with no express or implied warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher cannot be held liable for:
- Any direct or indirect financial loss resulting from the use of information displayed by the app.
- Any service interruption, bug, data loss, or incompatibility with a future Android version.
- Any consequence of a religious, tax, or financial decision made on the basis of calculations or suggestions displayed by the app.
In any event, the publisher's total liability to a user is limited to the amount that user actually paid for the app, if any. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer-protection law applicable to the user.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the publisher harmless from any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from any use of the app in breach of these terms or of the law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. The publisher reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app at any time. In the event of permanent discontinuation, a 90-day notice will be published on sandouq.app and a full export of user data will remain possible from the installed app.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Moroccan law. Any dispute relating to their formation, interpretation, or performance shall be brought before the competent courts of Casablanca, Morocco.
Users residing in the European Union retain the consumer-protection rights guaranteed by Rome I Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 on the law applicable to contractual obligations, as well as the mandatory provisions of their country of residence: in particular, they may bring action before the courts of their place of residence in consumer matters.
For purchases processed via Paddle, the Sandouq refund policy and Paddle's terms apply first for payment and refund matters.
