100% local, encrypted SQLite
Your transactions, accounts, savings goals, and Zakat calculations live in a SQLite database encrypted by Android — on your device only.
Sandouq is an Android-first app built for Muslim families across the MENA region — from the Maghreb to the Gulf, and the diaspora beyond. 100% offline, no bank linking, no accounts: your data stays on your phone, full stop.
A personal finance app with no bank linking, no account, no cloud. Privacy isn't a marketing line here — it's the architecture.
Your transactions, accounts, savings goals, and Zakat calculations live in a SQLite database encrypted by Android — on your device only.
It's a deliberate choice, not a limitation. No aggregator, no Plaid, no banking OAuth. You enter what you want to track — nothing more.
Download, open, use. No sign-up, no verification, no email asked. Ever.
No analytics SDK, no tracking pixel, no banner. Nobody knows what you buy, who you give Sadaqah to, or how much you've saved.
Sentry is off by default. If you turn it on, only anonymous crash traces (no data you've entered) are sent so we can fix bugs.
No proprietary lock-in. Export to CSV or JSON whenever you want, wherever you want. Uninstalling the app wipes everything, instantly.
Automatic Nisab and Zakat calculation, Sadaqah tracking, the Hijri calendar throughout the app, and multi-madhab support. No religious option is forced — you pick what matches your tradition.
Gold threshold 87.48 g and silver threshold 612.36 g, recalculated daily from spot prices. Automatically compared against your declared wealth.
Automatic calculation of your Zakat due in any of the 11 currencies the calculator supports (MAD, TND, DZD, EGP, SAR, AED, QAR, KWD, EUR, USD, GBP).
Log every donation apart from your regular expenses. Monthly and yearly totals visible at a glance.
Dual date display everywhere in the app. Handy for tracking your hawl or planning around Ramadan, Eid, and Dhu al-Hijjah.
Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki, or Hanbali: choose your school and the calculations adapt (preferred Nisab threshold, treatment of jewellery).
The app tracks the date you first crossed the Nisab and notifies you when your hawl completes.
Cash, checking, savings, gold, silver, debts — every type of asset has a place. Designed from day one as a Muslim family budget app for the MENA region, with the right categories and currencies.
Cash, checking accounts, savings, gold, silver, debts, and money owed to you: see the whole picture in a single net worth view.
MAD, TND, DZD, EGP, SAR, AED, QAR, KWD, BHD, OMR, JOD, LBP, plus USD, EUR, GBP. Local conversion and regional number formats.
Sadaqah, mosque, halal grocery, extended family, shared transit, Hajj/Umrah — the built-in categories reflect how a MENA household actually spends.
English, Français, العربية. Native Arabic RTL with IBM Plex Sans Arabic, Arabic numeric formatting, and an instant switch from Settings.
Set a target amount, a target month, a source category — the app tracks progress month after month and pings you before things slip.
Hajj, Umrah, weddings, a car, an emergency fund, a home purchase: one goal = one target amount + one target month + one source account.
Set a budget per category (groceries, mosque, transit…). Any unspent amount can roll over into next month — your call.
Alert at 80% of your monthly budget, a reminder when your hawl completes, and notifications for recurring transactions. All local, all configurable.
An offline Nisab and Zakat calculator open to anyone, no sign-up required. Daily gold and silver spot prices, 11 currencies.
The 2026 silver Nisab threshold and the gold threshold in real time, with automatic 2.5% Zakat calculation. No download, no account needed.
Sandouq Zakat CalculatorThree clear visualizations, readable in five seconds. No 47-widget dashboards.
A month-by-month time chart. See immediately whether your net worth is climbing, flat, or sliding — across all currencies.
A pie chart of this month's expenses: groceries, Sadaqah, transit, family, and so on. Spot the categories that need attention in one glance.
Month-over-month comparison, total Sadaqah for the year, Zakat paid, savings earned toward your goals. All on one screen.
No proprietary cloud, no closed format. You export when you want, where you want, in a format anyone can read.
Download your full history as CSV to open in Excel, Numbers, LibreOffice, or any spreadsheet. Perfect for end-of-year accounting.
A structured format for 100% identical restore. Store it where you want: Google Drive, a USB stick, an SD card, your own server.
New device? Re-import your JSON in seconds. No cloud migration, no proprietary QR code, no account to recreate.
No telemetry, no lock-in. If Sandouq ever disappears, your JSON is still readable — you keep your financial history intact.
Not a dressed-up web view. Sandouq follows modern Android standards — haptics, safe-area handling, subtle animations, screen reader support.
Tactile feedback on key actions, respect for safe areas (pinhole, gesture bar), skeleton loaders. An app that actually feels native.
TalkBack-compatible, ARIA labels throughout, WCAG AA contrast. Fully usable end-to-end with a screen reader.
Plus Jakarta Sans for Latin script, IBM Plex Sans Arabic for Arabic. Two modern families, built for long reading.
Short transitions, never distracting. Honors prefers-reduced-motion: if you've enabled it in Android, everything becomes instant.
Full right-to-left layout when you switch to Arabic: icons, animations, date flow — everything follows the reading direction.
A small APK, instant startup, everything works without a network. Designed to run smoothly on entry- and mid-range Android devices.
No recurring charges. No extra tier to unlock later. No ads, ever. What you pay today covers every future feature.
Regional pricing adapted to the MENA market (49 MAD in Morocco, equivalent elsewhere). Payment is handled by Google Play — nothing passes through Sandouq.
New features, new Islamic modules, extra currencies: all included with your original purchase. A standing publisher commitment.
No banner, no interstitial, no marketing notification. Your purchase funds the product — not the harvesting of your attention.
Yes. The app stores your data in a local SQLite database encrypted by Android. No network connection is required to enter transactions, calculate your Zakat, export data, or check your statistics. The internet is used for only two things: verifying your unlock purchase via Google Play, and — only if you turn it on — sending anonymous crash reports.
Sandouq is built with those principles in mind: no interest (riba) math built in, a Zakat calculator at 2.5%, dedicated Sadaqah tracking, and multi-madhab support for choosing the Nisab threshold. Sources are cited inside the religious modules, and a closing note always points back to your own scholar for high-stakes questions. The halal label isn't central to the product strategy — this is a neutral tool that respects your practice.
$4.99 / 49 MAD in Morocco, with regional pricing adjusted via Google Play. It's a one-time purchase, no recurring charges, no extra tier to unlock later. Every future feature is included in this price.
It's a deliberate decision, not a technical limitation. Bank aggregators (Plaid, Tink, Bridge…) require sharing your financial data with a third party, create an external dependency, and in practice exclude every Moroccan, Tunisian, Algerian, Egyptian, and Gulf bank. Sandouq chose manual entry to guarantee sovereignty and cover the whole MENA region.
The app fetches daily gold and silver spot prices in your currency, applies the classical ratios (87.48 g of pure gold, 612.36 g of pure silver), and automatically compares them to the wealth you've entered. You can also try the calculation without installing the app via our offline Nisab and Zakat calculator.
Not yet. Sandouq launches on Android first (Q2 2026) because that's the dominant platform across the MENA region. An iOS version is planned for Q4 2026.
Export your data as JSON from Settings → Backup, transfer the file to your new phone (email, Drive, USB stick — whatever works), then re-import it in the app. Your Google Play purchase restores automatically with the same account.
